Corrugation Tool – O & G Scale

Description

Tarkine Models Corrugation Tool – O & G Scale – Revision B.

This simple and easy to use tool makes quick work of forming scale corrugated iron. Just pre-cut your aluminium foil/sheet place onto the base piece; make sure the top piece is orentated the same way as the base, then press down and rock, or gently slide. Flip the corrugation tool over to use the other scale. NOTE: Foil NOT included.

What foil should I use?
– O Scale 1:48: Foil up to 30 µm (0.03mm / 1.181 Thou) is recommended. Foil of 35 µm (0.035mm / 1.377 Thou) has been tested to work with some careful pressing.
– G Scale 1:22.5: Foil up to 35 µm (0.035mm / 1.377 Thou) is recommended. Foil thicker than 35 µm may also be compatible, but has not been tested.

We test each tool using approximately 35 µm aluminium kitchen foil before packaging. This test piece is included in the packet to show that the tool has been checked. Tarkine Models does not sell the foil required. We suggest contacting your local hobby store for your desired foil. See photos for actual example of pressed foil.

Instructions for use:
1. Just cut your aluminum foil or chosen material to size
2. Place cut material into the base piece.
3. Rock the top piece back and forward over the base piece (thicker materials may require a gentle sliding motion instead).
4. Place on your model building.
